Pese a que Square Enix ha confirmado en numerosas ocasiones que no están aún pensando en Kingdom Hearts III, Tetsuya Nomura, director de la saga, ha confirmado que si se plantea lanzar un título intermedio en forma de spin-off para una plataforma portátil aún sin decidir, bien sea PSP, Nintendo DS o teléfonos móviles.

"Esto no es Kingdom Hearts III, pero es una anécdota... Quiero explicar qué hacía Mickey en el Mundo de la Oscuridad y cómo obtuvo su llave espada", explicaba Nomura a Famitsu.

"Quiero hacer este nuevo proyecto ligeramente diferente de la saga Kingdom Hearts, y cambiar el sistema de juego un poco... El multidesarrollo me hace querer poner algo más... Si seguimos esta idea, probablemente será difícil escoger la plataforma sobre la cual desarrollar el juego, si PSP, DS o teléfonos móviles".

Nomura: I think, we can do various announcements for "It's a Wonderful World" and "CC:FFVII".

Nomura: FFXIII, somewhat, has a new image. For a few seconds, there will be some FF Verses XIII images too. Fabula Nova Crystalis is one of the three titles that are moving now, which includes FF Agito XIII.

Nomura: It's possible that FF Agito XIII will receive the most impact with Fabula Nova Crystallis. The movie (or trailer) isn't different from the one before, and the image for a real machine (battle system) is seen entering quietly, too. These kind of things can be done with cell phones. It becomes an image.

Nomura: The announcement time of a new KH project might be announced soon. I think that we can expect the title to be announced in the hidden-ball play*.

It also appears that Shimomura will be attending the Square-Enix Party. She's looking forward to meeting people who are not able to be easily met. Yoko asks everyone to wait patiently.

This extra interview info is about the "new KH project" from the magazine scan that was posted in the previous post.

Nomura: It is not Kingdom Hearts III, but it is an anecdote (extra or side-story) work! I think Sora [still] has a big role to fill! So let's focus on other characters other than Sora for the following work now. (Tomo's note: Nope, doesn't mean new outfit for Sora...)

Nomura: I did nothing but talk about "Birth by Sleep". Also, I want to explain what Mickey did in the World of Darkness, and also how he got his keyblade.

Nomura: I have a feeling that I want to work on developing Roxas the most. It is interesting to create in one year, the birth of him, and then next, the disappearance of him.

Nomura: I want to make this [new project] slightly different from the Kingdom Hearts' series, and change the system a little.

Nomura: The multi-developing makes me want to put it on something else, without thinking. If we follow this idea, it would be hard to choose if to make the game for the "PSP", "NDS" or the cell phone.

The multi-developing idea is interesting. Not mention of home consoles though. I'd like to see an Fabula Nova Crystallis game on PSP, though im I think he might be on about KH. Im not sure what he means about "new image". I think he means in terms of new trailers and media rather than changes to the actual game because of his next comment about Final Fantasy Versus XIII images coming up "for a few seconds". Speculate on! :P

bueno pues a mi me gustaria que fuera un kingdom hearts como el chain of memories pero que no vaya por carta y efectos en 3d eso me fascinaria y que soltara cabos sueltos e conseguido leer en otras paginas que se estrenara en diciembre o 2008 pero sera en japon nosotros tendremos que esperar el juego tambien ay rumores de que se llame khxx
